Overview:

Nick Hartley, CRM will discuss his ongoing experience of establishing a records management program for the City of Pittsburgh. Topics will include planning, surveying the records environment, obtaining support, scheduling, and the various challenges a records manager should expect to encounter when embarking on an inaugural RIM program.

Speaker:

Nick Hartley is the City Archivist for the City of Pittsburgh and head of the City Clerk’s Records Management Division.

Previously, Mr. Hartley was an archivist at the Thomas & Katherine Detre Library and Archives of the Senator John Heinz History Center, where he primarily processed record collections of industrial corporations from Western Pennsylvania. He is a founding Steering Committee Member of the Three Rivers Archivists. He received a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013 and became a CRM in June 2018.
